The Econometrics Lab is a computing environment for faculty and graduate students at the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois.

The Econometrics Lab is composed by two servers Ragnar, Pafnuty e Ysidro. They were named after Ragnar Frisch, Pafnuty Chebyshev and Francis Ysidro Edgeworth.

The center piece is Ragnar. It is a server with two Intel Xeon E5-2640v2 8-cores (16-thread) 2.00 GHz processors and 396 GB of RAM memory. Ragnar currently uses Scientific Linux 6.6 (Carbon) as its operating system and provides access to recent versions of R, Stata, Matlab and Mathematica.

Pafnuty is a server with two Intel Xeon X5660 six-core (12-thread) 2.80 GHz processors and 64 GB of RAM memory and an NVIDIA Tesla C2050 GPU Card. Pafnuty currently uses Scientific Linux 6.6 (Carbon) as its operating system and provides access to recent versions of R and Stata.

Ysidro is a server with two Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5560 four-core (6-thread) 2.80 GHz processors and 64 GB of memory. Ysidro currently uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.11 (Tikanga).

The Econometrics Lab is located in 126 David Kinley Hall. The lab consultant is Ignacio Sarmiento-Barbieri.
